Black Business Spotlight: Creative Juice and Chroma Creators
There’s nothing like filling a void in a market that desperately needs it. Octavia Warren Gilmore decided to do so when founding notable agencies Creative Juice and Chroma Creators. The all-star entrepreneur entered the marketing sector as a business owner after working for various companies, including AT&T, for a few years following her time at Savannah College of Art and Design.
Creative Juice
Warren Gimore started this Atlanta-based creative agency in 2013 after leaving her graphic design position at AT&T. The SCAD graduate made it an inclusive, forward-moving agency with Black and female staff. Employing forward-thinking creatives allowed the creative marketing firm to provide outstanding services, including:
- Logo and branding
- Content development
- Digital marketing
- Web/print/UI/UX design
Gilmore Warren put all her efforts into making the company a must-go agency for those looking for full-service marketing. This approach garnered major clients like Home Depot, Habitat for Humanity, and the City of Atlanta.
Chroma Creators
After building Creative Juice’s reputation, Warren Gilmore branched into the burgeoning artificial intelligence field. She launched the AI-powered creative agency in 2023. The college grad spent the better part of a year studying and vetting the emerging technology. Shepherding the technology-drive marketing firm pushed the entrepreneur to provide services in:
- Graphics and branding
- Site design and development
- Social media
- Marketing
As the field continues to grow, Warren Gilmore will put as much effort into her latest venture as her prior businesses.
It’s time we invest in Black women entrepreneurs, and “solopreneurs”, in particular, to build a better future for Black women and our entire economy.
